Learn Christopher Pair’s Story
There are parts of America that still suffer from hunger although this fact is not well known, or maybe it is just ignored. However, the sad reality is that there truly is hunger and there is a group of people who eat without knowing where their next meal would come from or what it would be. One of the people who has lived through this is Christopher Pair. It is because of his experience in these conditions that he has become the man he is this day. Christopher pair was born to a sharecropper who was the son of a Mexican immigrant. All of them came from very humble beginnings, and so did Christopher. Poverty was the norm back then, and in an attempt to break the cycle of poverty, Christopher’s dad joined the army. He was in the military for quite a long while, and after leaving the administration, he returned home to accommodate the family as a gardener. For the majority of his life growing up, Christopher’s home had little sustenance or none at all on occasion. What little they had, had just about zero dietary value.
Looking for other sources of income was the only way they could survive since the income they already had was not at all enough to provide all of them with food. They turned to recycle items. Christopher says that they looked for soda cans and sold them to recyclers. They then utilized the cash to purchase sustenance for the family. The only way Christophe could think of to get out of the situation they were in was to get an education, and that is what he did. After he was finished with his examinations, he recalled his underlying foundations and what he experienced growing up. He wanted to give those people in the same situation hope and an opportunity to live better lives with access to good food. He joined the direct selling industry and later became the president of operations at a company called Plexus Worldwide, this position enabled him to be the change he wished for. He advanced this change by deciding to address an issue that he confronted and that a great many families continue to have in America.
The circumstances that Christopher grew up in could have held him back, but he did his utmost best to overcome them, and he continues helping those in the same situation to live a better life. What pulled in him to Plexus was how the organization was determined to help other people, and he perceived a device with which to make the change he wanted. Plexus made a partnership with Feeding America which is an initiative to get rid of hunger in America. It gave them the necessary tools that they needed to change the world one meal at a time. He says “life is about more than what I need for myself, when we give, we find greater purpose and fulfillment”.
